Employees at the Nothern Pacific Railway Company

The material is a large index of everyone working for the NPRC between about 1909 - 1960 and is estimated to contain 300 000 people. These include large numbers of Scandinavians. The material has information as name and task assignment and possibly other information. To the index in some cases, files are available which can be found at Minnesota Historical Society in Minneapolis. Initially the material will be browseable, sorted by last name, and later on it will be properly indexed and searchable.

The Norwegian Emigrant Museum recently became member of EmiWeb, and will contribute to EmiWeb with emigrants and immigrants from the county of Hedmark in Norway. .

During autumn 2008 registration of immigrants to the Värmland county in Sweden began. This will be done directly in Emiweb, so far 10000 immigrants are registered.

Sändebudet obituaries are being scanned and linked to the database. So far 2100 obituaries are scanned between 1910-1917. Continuing scanning on 1918-19 are being done at this time.
